Unemployment daily allowance

If you are a member of the unemployment insurance (an unemployment benefit fund [a-kasse]) in Denmark, you will as a Nordic citizen be entitled to unemployment daily allowance if through no fault of your own you are out of work or otherwise meet the requirements for payment of a daily allowance. 

Unemployment insurance/unemployment benefit fund

Membership of an unemployment insurance (unemployment benefit fund) is not obligatory in Denmark. You must therefore join an unemployment benefit fund yourself. The unemployment benefit fund shall be government-approved and membership is voluntary.
